Hello all of you lovely people, Todays post is all about my top three favourite lipsticks. Now as everyone knows ranking ones favourite lipsticks can be an impossible task although for me there are three certain ones that jump out at me.

Surprisingly enough my favourite three come from all areas of the financial scale, the first being a MAC lipstick called Angel which cost £15 (even though it did not cost that when I brought it!). 

Now I do know that this lipstick either looks lovely on or makes you look sickly, this lipstick is definitely a winter shade for me as I have recently discovered this summer that while I have a tan it is not a flattering colour.

This lipstick is meant to be a frost finish which according to MAC means that it has ‘an excellent colour payoff with medium to high frosted shimmer-and-shine finish’. Although this is the category which MAC has placed Angel, it does not have a dramatic frost finish I would say that it has a slight pearly finish instead of being frosty.

What I love about it is that it is a lovely baby pink shade which can be worn everyday adding to a natural look, I find that it just finishes off my makeup nicely.

The next lipstick on my list is the Rimmel lasting finish by Kate Moss in shade 01, now when I brought this lipstick is was more of a spur of the moment decision as this deep red shade was definitely out of my comfort zone!

I find reds quite hard to wear as I have to make sure that they contain blue undertones, as red/orange undertones just look weird on me. When I saw this I decided to try it out as let’s face it £5.49 will not break the bank if I decide that I don’t like it.

I would say that this lipstick is more of a cherry red colour with a sheen finish to it, the formula is quite pigmented and leaves a slight stain on the lips. It also has a sweet scent to it initially which then disperses once you apply it.

I really love this lipstick as it is a gorgeous shade which is good for people that might have a hard time finding reds to suite them, I would recommend this as a good starter red.

My final favourite is a real bargain and if you haven’t tried one of these then I strongly suggest that you do as it only cost £1, and you can’t go wrong with a pound. 

It is the MUA (Makeup Academy) lipstick in shade 3 which has a lovely creamy texture to it and glides across the lips effortlessly.

It results in a semi- matte finish and is highly pigmented leaving a slight stain to the lips. One down side to this lipstick is that it does cling to dry patches so I advise that you should exfoliate them top avoid this and moisturize before applying this lipstick as the formula is slightly drying.

This lipstick has great staying power and I find that it once applied , it lasts through lots of eating and drinking which is great is you plan on going out with it on your lips J

Hello everyone, how are all of you beautiful people? Not much has been happening around my life apart from working loads. Oh and I finally got insured on the car a year after I passed my driving test. It is slightly scary as I haven’t been on the road in a year and at first I thought that I would have forgotten everything, but the only thing I seemed to have forgotten how to do is park. This is slightly problematic as I can’t really go anywhere where I have to park the car unless I have someone with me but oh well I will get the hang of it eventually J

This is my first outfit of the day post (YAY) although I think I might be cheating as I took this photo while on holiday so this post might become a holiday outfit post J

While on holiday it was super-hot therefore I made sure to take with me clothes that would help me stay cool in the scorching heat.

This outfit is the one that I found myself wearing more than any other and the trend continued to when I got home. This has become my go to outfit of the summer as it has got quite hot here in England.

The top that I am wearing in the picture I got from Topshop, I love this item as it is a really floaty v-neck strap top which you can wear tucked in on loose over a pair of jeans. It was originally £18 but I got it for £16 with student discount, you always have to remember to ask if a store does student discount you never know what you can get money off J

The skirt is from River Island which I got to match the mint green top and I think that it goes together perfectly. This is in the style of a skater skirt which meant that in the hot weather it was not clingy allowing me to be cool in the heat.

I have had the bag from Clarks for about a year now as I brought it to go with my Prom dress last summer. When I brought it they had many different colours and now I wish I had brought more, this bag has become my go to bag of the summer as for a small bag you can fit a surprising amount of stuff in it and I love how it highlights certain colours in the skirt.  

I brought my necklace from a small independent jewellery store while on holiday and have not stopped wearing it since, I was really after a chunky necklace and this fits the bill perfectly.

Hello everyone how are you all? I hope you are well and loving the summer time weather (or winter weather, whatever it is for you this time of year)

I have a little confession to make I have recently found myself having a major procrastination issue.  I have found that while I have many potential post ideas the minuet I sit down to write something, nothing comes out it is rather annoying. 

I didn't even really acknowledge that it was happening until I read a post by Ashley from Modernette.ca about How to deal with a blogger burnout. This made me take note and decide it was time to make an effort to stop over thinking posts and get back to what I love to do, which is writing.

Today’s post is all about my holiday which I took this summer (it was in June/July …. no off course I didn't take this long to blog about it :D).

This holiday my family and I took a lovely trip down to the south of France. We were extremely lucky with the weather and it was even luckier that we brought all of the necessary sun cream with us because it is very important to look after your skin while in the sun (she says while trying to not sound like a preacher).

As you can see from the picture we all thought it was a great idea to not co-ordinate our sun cream packing and as a result ended with a bazzilion bottles of the stuff in a range of factors.

Now as a family we regularly go to the same place on holiday, as a result of this we know the great places to go visit and where to eat. For my family no holiday is complete without a tapas lunch at the beach and the place that we go to has so much character that you can’t not love it, not to mention that the food is great.

One place that we have never really explored much is the beach, this is due to the fact that we have a pool and when it is super-duper hot you just want to stay in the cold water nearly 24/7. Also there is the fact that my dad doesn't like the beach, this might be a result of living by the seaside when he was younger and having to eat sandy sandwiches every time he went. What can I say everyone has some childhood demons for my dad it is the beach. But I am proud to say that after 11 years of coming on holiday to this location we finally managed to not only get my dad to go to the beach but he actually go in the sea too … major achievement. 

In this part of the world there is an fascinating sight which amazes me every time that I see it. What is this wonder I hear you ask, well it is a pink lake. The real name for it is a salt lake, now these turn pink due to the high concentration of salt within them. In turn these lakes attract such diverse wildlife including flamingos, yes you hear me right flamingos in France.

What I love about the French culture is that when you go out for dinner in the evening the streets are still so alive with music and laughter there is just so much going on all at once. This makes it a wonderful environment to go to on holiday as it is the complete opposite to back home in England.

 I had such a good time relaxing with my family as essentially that is what my family holidays are, a time for us to relax away from the hustle and bustle of out real lives, a time for us to recharge our batteries and to get ready for the next adventure.
